Sarah & Nick's Wedding 28.5.16

Floral StylingClea Broad

My friends Sarah and Nick had a beautiful and relaxed wedding and garden party reception. All their friends and family pitched in to make it a day and night to remember. My contribution was to make Sarah's bouquet and Nick's buttonhole, going to the flower market with Sarah to choose the succulents and foliage to complement her vintage inspired dress and red accessories.

I want to say thank you to everyone at Fortnum & Mason for inviting me to take part in their Celebrate the Season event, and for being so helpful and welcoming. I made fresh flower headpieces from scented roses, demonstrating floristry and millinery skills and offering advice. Fortnum & Mason is itself a magical space, calming and at the same time uplifting, so it was a joy to be able to create there.

Fresh floral fashion for H/S studio shoot

For this fashion shoot in April 2014 I created fresh flower headpieces to compliment the styling, using vibrant Spring flowers such as peonies, wild grasses, ranunculus, veronica, lisianthus, freesias, viburnum and delphinium. To add interest I also used some vintage woven fabric to create a turban, a fabric covered hat base and an abstract wooden headpiece, as bases for the flowers.
