Tracy Cole from Hello Flora asked me to help her style a baby shower at her beautiful home. The mother-to-be didn’t know the sex of the baby but knew she was going to call it Avery, which we incorporated into one Hello Flora’s signature giant wreaths. We used fresh and vibrant summer pastels mixed with a few more muted tones and lots of foliage for a sophisticated edge. All the flowers were faux, from the Hello Flora collection.
Happy Chinese New Year to you all. Firstly I wanted to share with you this lovely photograph by Hunter Rae featuring some Chinese lanterns which I gave a fun floral makeover for a portfolio shoot we collaborated on.
My final fresh floral fashion tutorial of the year is a fun and festive tiara, perfect for New Years Eve. It is inspired by a really beautiful crown from the Dolce & Gabbana SS17 Milan catwalk show
These earrings are really quick and easy to make and need very little in the way of materials and equipment. The earring findings themselves cost less than a pound, and the beauty of this tutorial is that you can treat yourself to a gorgeous potted orchid in the name of fashion and decorate your home at the same time.
This fresh floral tutorial takes its inspiration from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2016 ready-to-wear catwalk. There were a few dramatic looks featuring coque feather collars but I wanted to add a fresh floral twist,
I am going to show you how to make a really fun, festive, party headband, inspired by the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign. Big, bright flowers featured heavily in the Dolce & Gabbana collection, as did headbands, sequins and black petersham bows and embellished details.
I am going to show you how to make a simple rose choker, inspired by the Gucci Autumn 2016 campaign. This is a really easy and fairly inexpensive project. You can buy a single rose stem from your local florist or pick one from your garden.
My friend, Tracy Cole, owner of online faux flower boutique 'Hello Flora', asked me to help her style the Georgian building, Stone House, in Lewisham, for her Christmas pop-up event. I styled trees and garlands using ribbons, giant stars and faux flowers including roses, berries, succulents and foliage.
My friends Sarah and Nick had a beautiful and relaxed wedding and garden party reception. All their friends and family pitched in to make it a day and night to remember. My contribution was to make Sarah's bouquet and Nick's buttonhole, going to the flower market with Sarah to choose the succulents and foliage to complement her vintage inspired dress and red accessories.
Fast forward a few months and when Seedlip were ready to launch their second drink, Garden 108, they asked me to bring the new label to life in the form of a sculpture.
