I want to say thank you to everyone at Fortnum & Mason for inviting me to take part in their Celebrate the Season event, and for being so helpful and welcoming. It was lovely meeting customers and being able to offer advice and demonstrate how to make headpieces from fresh cut flowers. Fortnum & Mason is itself a magical space, calming and at the same time uplifting, so it was a joy to be able to create there.

It would not have been possible without The Real Flower Company sending me such beautiful roses to use. Many people couldn't believe the roses were real, because they looked so perfect, convinced only by the beautiful scent of the blooms. In fact I think it was the scent that lured a few people over to my table. My idea of heaven is a garden filled with David Austin roses.

I also want to of course say thank you to everyone who came to try on the headpieces during the event and say "hello". I love creating this sort of work, just for the joy of it, but there is something deeply satisfying about seeing a headpiece come to life when worn by somebody.
